Show Me ~ Ephar

 

Show me is a compilation of original songs resulting from collaborations between Keith Farwell and Mike Raine (who together make Ephar). Keith was mainly responsible for the lyrical content while Mike dealt mainly with musical aspects.

Like their composition, the production of the tracks was also a collaboration. Some parts were recorded in West Hobart and others at Ranelagh (involving considerable disk swapping), roughly during the course of the year 2000.

Keith and Mike account for all instruments except the lead guitar track on "Day come, day go" which was performed by Ray Kemp. All vocals are Mike's, with Eleanor Raine adding backing vocals on "Grey".

The fourteen tracks on this CD traverse a diverse sonic and emotional landscape. Keith wrote lyrics and Mike composed and produced the music for most of the tracks. Keith wrote and produced the music for "Day come day go", "Under water" and "Grey", the last being the only one with lyrics penned by Mike.
